As some of you may have already guessed we are hard at work on a greatly improved version of our 2002 entry to the uDevGames competition, World To Conquer for the iPhone and iPod Touch! You can find a bit of a teaser in our screenshot section.

Looks like someone at Apple likes Hurdler because it's made the 'What We're Playing' feature in the iTunes App Store! We would like to congratulate our friends over at The Games Page for making such a fun game in the first place.

We've been busy with iPhone/iPod Touch projects of late. Some nice mini and micro games can be found in our iDevices section. We've also been hard at work on a much less mini or micro project on the platform but we aren't ready to announce what it is just yet. Also, we've got a brand new forum! So check it out, post your comments, we really look forward to reading what you all have to say!

Due to problems with spam the NorthernBytes Software forum has been taken down. We hope to return with a better, more secure forum shortly.

We've changed the rules in our forum to allow non-registered users to read posts. An alert user pointed out that people aren't likely to register for a forum they can't preview. It would seem we had been somewhat overzealous with our security. So, go forth and enjoy the newly public forum!

We are proud to announce that NorthernBytes Software has entered the iPhone and iPod Touch games arena! You can now check out our new iPhone and iPod Touch games section where you will find information and App Store links to our currently released projects.

We are still on track to enter a graphically enhanced version of Punch Out and Super Punch Out arcade games to the 2008 Retro Remakes competition. Look for it at www.retroremakes.com and right here on the site.

Berzerker Botz released! Our entry into 'contest name I forgot here' is done and ready for download. It's an homage to old school shooter Berzerk. It's a first person shooter take on arcade gameplay, fight your way from room to room and rack up the best score! So, drop by the download section to get shooting.
There is currently a known issue on one of our testing Macs, check the forum for details.

We've got the forum back up and running in anticipation for upcoming game releases. We invite everyone to head on over and sign up! If you are a returning member, a cookie conflict may make logging in difficult. To remedy this, simply delete any cookies from the northernbytes.ca URL.
